Middlesex to Wit


The Information of Rowland Wills< no role > of Uxbridge Carter
and Joseph Cridland< no role > taken before me this 27th. day of
November 1784

Who being upon Oath say, and first the said Rowland
Wells
< no role > says that last Night about half past five oClock as this
Informant was driving his Team between Notton Hill and
Shepherds Bush< no role > he observed two Men behind his Cart, [..] he
asked what they did there, upon which one of them came up to
him and collard him and held a Stick over his head whilst the
other came before him with a Stick also and demanded his
Money; and robbed him of his Purse containing four Greene as,and
two Six pences,anda Knife and key; and further says that a
Knife and Key now [..] produced are the Knife and Key of which
he was robbed. as aforesaidand is very sure that a person
now present who calls himself Allen Williams< no role > is the Footpad
who took his Knife and Key and doth believe Stephen Harris< no role >
now present to be the other FootpadAnd the said Joseph Cridland< no role >
says that hearing of the above Robbery he went in pursuit of the
said Footpads last Night between six and seven o'ClockThat is
Edgware Row about seven oClock he apprehended said Allen
Williams
< no role > and Stephen Hanks< no role > and on the Person of the said
Williams found four Guineas two six pences a Knife and Key
now produced.
