Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell in the County
of Middlesex Maketh Oath and Saith That
on Monday last he was upon duty at Covent Garden
by the Order of Mr. John Boddington< no role > High Constable
of Finsburry Division in order to assist in keeping
the Peace that between the hours of 3 and 4 o'Clock in
the afternoon of the same day a Riot happened in
Covent Garden soon after the Close of the Poll
That several persons were Taken into Custody and
Charged on oath for being Aiding and Assisting in such
Riot That he saw the several persons when they were in
Custody one of whom he knew personally [..] (Vizt.)

Cleaver amongst the Mob.

And this Informant Saith That he very
well remembers the person of another of the said
Rioters (Vizt) James Murray< no role > This name instance is in set 1419. This set is in the group(s): GarrowsClients . an Irish Man
That he saw him very busy in the above Riot with a
a large oak Stick in his hand Brandishing the same
and pushing this Informant said Damn your Eyes
Stand of one Side pet one come by I'll give it the Buggers
presentlyand that when he saw Murray in Custody he requested
this Informant not to hurt him
