The Information of Ann the Wife of Joseph Cheetham< no role > of Fled
Market London Cabinet maker Taken upon Oath before us Nathaniel Conant< no role > , Joseph
Girdler
< no role > and Joseph Faikney< no role > Esquires Three [..] of His Majesty's Justices of the peace for the County
of Middlesex this 15th. day of May 1784.

Who being upon Oath Saith that the Prisr. Thomas Peirce< no role > came andtook Lodgings at her [..]
House once Friday a Fortnight before the Fire which happened in Saint [..]
he said that the Wanted them for a Friend who was coming from the Con [..]
the Wednesday following he brought a porter with a Bedstead and some Baxds and
put them in the front Room up one Pair of Stairs on the Friday after he took the
Lodgings he brought a porter with a large packing Case and the Prisoner borrowed
a Knife of this Informant that the Prisoner told this Informant he had brought
a Wrong Box and afterwards came with a porter and took away the large packing
Case And this Informant further saith that on the day after the Fire the Prisoner
told this Informant that he had suffered a great loss by Fire and upon this
Informants asking him if he was injured the prisoner replied he believed that
he was in sured in the Hand in Hand Fire office and also told this Informant
that he did not Know how the Fire happened but he beleived it happened
from the Stove in the Shop and that his Lodgers were very careless and add [..]
that he had a short time before the Fire [..] had one hundred and twenty
pounds worth of Goods And this Informant further saith that the said Thomas peirse< no role >
also brought to this Informants House a paper parcel containing as this Informant
believes Stockings And which said [..] Boxes and paper parcel were left as this
Informant believes in the Room taken by the prisoner but the same have since
without this Informants Knowledge been taken away from the said Room-that
the prisoner also brought a Linnen Bag about three Parts full at the same time
with the Boxes which Bag has also been taken away without this Informants
Knowledge but what was the Contents of the said this Informant does not know
