The Information of Edward Hitchcock< no role >
and Martha Fosket< no role > taken before me
this 6th. day of February 1771

Who being upon Oath say and first the said Hitchcock
for himself says that on or about the 18 day of December
Last in the Evening a Gold Watch with a Lady's Chain two dressing
Boxes a pair of Stone Buttons and a pair of Studs were
Stolen out of a Room up Stairs in his house and the Said
Martha Foskett< no role > for herself says that she is Servant to
the Said Edward Hitchcock< no role > that on the said Evening as she
was going up stairs she met a person now present who
calls himself William Cox< no role > This name instance is in set 3645. on the Stairs who then made
some trifling Excuse for being there, and afterwards found
that the Said Room had been stripped of several things
and that some Cloaths were moved from the place they had
been left in with Intent to be stolen as this Informant
believes, and these Informants further say that they
to suspect and verily believe that the said William
Cox
< no role > stole the things above mentioned
