< no role > taken before me One of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
said County

Who severally being upon Oath say And first
this Informant Edward Davis< no role > for himself saith
that on Wednesday Night last abt. 11 o'Clock he met
a Person now Present who calls herself Mary
Robert
< no role > & talked with her in the Street during
which time the said Mary Roberts< no role > Picked his
Pocket of a Watch now Produced And this
Informant Charged the said Roberts withPicking
Stealg his Watch the said Robert Answered
that if he would goe home with her he should
have his Watch again & Immediately this
informant was knocked Down & beat in an
Unmerciful manner but by whom he cannot
tell But is certain that Mary Roberts< no role > is
the Person who Stole his Watch And this
Informant Thos. Hewett< no role > for himself saith
that a person now present who calls herself
Elizth. West< no role > abt. 10 o'Clock on Thursday Morning
last brought the Watch now produced & Sworn
to by the other informant & Pawned it with him
for One Guinea Declaring at the same time that
it belonged to One John Davis< no role > a Hackney Coachman
And this Informant Elizabeth West< no role > for herself
saith that on Thursday Morning last about
9' O Clock a Person now present who calls
herself Elizth. Cotton< no role > Brought the abovementd
Watch to this Informnt. and desired her to Pawn
it, telling her it belonged to a Hackney Coachman
this Informant carried to the other Informant
Thos. Hewett< no role > & Pawned it for a Guinea which
she delivered to the said Elizabeth Cotton< no role >
