At this Court the several humble Petitions of Francis Cabell Gold & Silver Wiredrawer
John Nathaniel Ditcutt< no role > Weaver were read settingforth That they are
willing to comply with all the Rules of the House made and to be
made in relation to Artsmasters and to take such a number of
Apprentices as the Court shall think fitt and praying to be Elected
an Artsmaster in the room of James Vaughan< no role > who is discharged
the HospitalAnd the Question being put that the number of
Weavers in this Hospital being too great & the Petition of the said
John Nathaniel Didcutt < no role > may be rejected It passed in the Affirmative
Whereupon the Right Worspll. Humphry Parsons< no role > Esqr . Aldn . President
declared the said Francis Cabell duly Elected And it is Ordered
that the said Francis Cabell (upon delivering a Certificate of his
Settlement to the Clerk and producing a Copy of his freedom of this
City) be admitted an Artsmaster of this Hospital untill the next
Election day upon giving Security as is usual in the like Cases &
that the Journeymen which he shall employ in his said Trade
shall be such as have served their Apprenticeships in this Hospital
And it is further Ordered that he have such Appartment as
the Comee of this House shall think fitt.

Mr. William Poole< no role > one of the Governors of this Hospital reporting
to this Court That in pursuance of an Order of Court the 21st. of June
1739. he and Mr. John May< no role > another of the Governors had made
enquiry and found That Charles Cecil< no role > who served his Apprenticeship
in this Hospital is set up for himself in the trade of a Weaver & hath
the Character of a diligent and sober Man It is Ordered that the
Steward of this Hospital do give and pay unto the said Charles
Cecil Ten pounds out of Mr. Locks Gift to be allowed him in his
next Account.
