hang down almost between his Legs and when
the Men had turned him upon his Back
Deponent observed he was dead. Deponent
as soon as he saw what had happened out
for a Surgeon. but when he came the deceased
was quite dead.

James Vost< no role > of Hillington aforesaid Labourer Servant
to Mr. Store. being on his Oath Saith That
on Wednesday Last ye Second day of November
instant Deponent and deceased were digging
Gravel in a pit on Hillington Heath. when
[..] the Earth which hung over that part of the
pit wherein the deceased was at Work suddenly
fell in upon the deceased. who screamed out.
but the Earth intirely covered him and Deponent
immediately used his endeavours to remove
the Earth from Deceased with the assistance of some other
Persons but when they had so done and had
drawn him out of the place where the Earth
fell the deceased was quite dead.
