Informations of Witnesses taken this fifth
day of November one thousand Seven hundred and
Eighty five at the Dwelling House of Elizabeth
Price
< no role > . Widow The Sign of The Vine in the parish
of Hillington in the County of Middlesex before
Edward Umfreville< no role > Esquire One of his Majestys
Coroners for the said County touching the Death
of William Brickinshaw< no role > then and there lying
Dead as follow.

George Stoe< no role > ye Younger of Polehill near Hillington aforesaid Gentn:
being on Oath Saith that on Wednesday the Second
day of November instant between twelve and one o Clock at Noon being on his Return from
Uxbridge across Hillington Heath he observed a
Confusion among the people at ye Gravel Pit and
a Man Wm across the Heath from the Pit to a
Pawn House and return to the Pit with a
Couple of Spades and upon Deponents coming to the pit side
observed that the Earth had fallen in upon the
deceased where head appeared just above
the Surface And the Man who felched the
Spades together with two or three other persons
at the pit he gain to remove the Earth from the
deceased and Deponent encouraged them to
do it as Last as possible and when the Earth
was Removed from his Body observed his head
