| Examination Text | Elizabeth Brooksby aged 23 years destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by an indenture for three years to Mrs Mathewson a Clear Starcher in Durham Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all her time out which expired about five years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the seventh Day of October 1756 before Benjamin Cox. |
