Examination Text | Jane Willson aged 34 years lodging at house let out in tenements in Salisbury Street in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of John Wilson (gone from her) to whom she was married at the Fleet almost three years ago, that her said husband is a Soldier in the Guards and further of him she this Examinant knoweth not, that he was before his intermarriage and while single and unmarried a yearly hired servant to Mr Clarke a Confectioner near Harts Horn Lane in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 13 months at the yearly wages of 4 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about one month before her intermarriage with her said husband [sic]. Sworn the 28th day of September 1756 before Benjamin Cox. |
