such Bill and also £13..17s..1d to discharge a Bill of Robert Campbell< no role > for
keeping the Carriage way of so much of the Strand as lies in this Parish
in Repair from Christmas to Lady day last for which purpose Mr. Kennett
and Mr. Ireland are desired to draw on the Banker

A Bill from Messrs Raine and Horobin for Lighting the Lamps
from Lady day to Midsumer last (except those under subsisting Contracts
and Optional Streets) amounting to £85..16s..0d being read Ordered
that the same be transmitted to the Commissioners for Payment out of
monies Received for Repairing Cleansing and Lighting for which
purpose this Committee signed the same.

Ordered that the Sum of One hundred Pounds be paid into the
Bank to the Account of the Commissioners for Paving Westminster Etc
for Repairing Cleansing and Lighting for which purposethis Committee
[..] Mr. Kennett & Mr.Ireland draw on ye Banker

A Bill from James Higley< no role > Carpenter amounting to £12..10s..4d
and another from Thomas Stevens< no role > Bricklayer amounting to £2..12s..4d
severally for work done in the New Paving Sheffield and Portsmouth
Streets being laid before this Committee and read Ordered that the
said Bills be transmitted to the Commrs. for Payment out of moneys
received for New Paving for which purpose this Committee certified.

The Clerk laid before this Committee a copy of an Agreement
drawn by Mr. Pardoe on behalf of the Inhabitants of the New or Serle's
Square Lincolns Inn and proposed to be Entred into between
the Clerk to this Committee and him the said Robert Pardoe< no role >
relative to the Appeal of one of the said Inhabitants to the
Justices of Westminster against the Rates made on them
being conclusive as to all the rest As also one drawn by the Clerk
to this Committee which being severally read as also the Clause
relative to the made of Appeal this Committee are of Opinion
that they cannot legally Enter into such Agreement

Mr. Nixon Inspector to this Committee was Swom to his return's

Adjourned to the 6th. August at 6 o'Clock.
