Singlewoman Upon Oath saith that She
never was married that She has lived as an hired yearly
Servant with Mr Middleston for two years & upwds.
at the yearly Wages of St Guineas that she removed with her
said Master from St James's Westminster
to
Cecil Street
in the Strand
in the parish of Saint
Clement Danes
in the County of Middlesex
in the
Month of December 1792 and hath lived with
him there ever since

Examinant
hath now Continues
is the in the same
House and is not discharged from her said service
And this Examinant Upon her Oath further saith
that on or about the sixteenth day of March last
she was delivered of a Female Bastard Child at the House of her said Master in Cecil Street
in the Parish aforesaid
which hath since been half Baptized by the name
of
Mary Clark< no role >
and is become chargeable to the
said parish that
James Beaton< no role >
who now lives
a footman to Mr Swan No 24 in Argyle Street
Oxford Road
is the only real true father
of the said Child of which she was so delivered
as aforesaid he and no one also having had
carnal connection of this Deponent's Body
sometime on or about the twentieth day of
June 1792 and at several times since at some
or one of which times he did beget the said Child
thereon And that he and no one else is the only
real true father thereof
