(to wit) Elizabeth Lambert< no role > Singlewoman
singlewoman aged 29 years or thereabouts
Upon Oath faith that she never was Married,
that she lived as an hired yearly with Mr. Gloves
[..] in Houndsditch in the parish of St Botolph
without Bishopsgate London about two
years and an half, at the Annual Wages
of Six Guineas; that she quitted that Service
about Nine years ago & hath not obtained any
subsequent legal Settlement and this Deponent
father Farther saith that on the Ninth day of
October 1783 she this Deponent was delivered
of a Female Bastard Child named at the
House of a Mrs James in Milford Lane in the
parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of
Middlesex which Child hath since been
Christened (at the parish Church of St. Clement
Danes ) by the Names of Sarah Lambert< no role >
that one John Shephard< no role > who was at that
formerly Worked at a Coal Wharf at the botto [..]
of Milford Lane aforesaid is the only real un [..]
truef true father of the said Child of which
She was so delivered [..] he and no one & he having had Carnal
knowledge of this of this Deponents Body
about a year previous to the Birth of the sa [..]
Child and several times in the in believes
betwixt such Connection and Birth and that he did by
the said Child thereof
