(to wit) Frances Brown< no role > Widow aged about 68 years
Upon Oath saith that she was Married to Paul
Brown
< no role > at the parish Church of St Giles in the Fields
in or about the year 1762 that he left this Examinant
about shortly after their said Marriage to go to Bombay
in the East Indie's & she hath heard he is since dead
that since she so heard of her said Husband's Death and
having only one Child who was had [..] before obtained a
legal Settlement in his own right she this Examinant
lived as an hired yearly Servant with Mr. William Massa< no role >
formerly of Wych Street in the parish of St. Clement Danes
and afterwards of Parwick Street in the parish of St
James Westminster for the space of three years at the
Annual Wages of £5 that during the last Ten Months
of such Service she this Examinant lodged at the
Workshop of the said [..] William Massa< no role > in Warwick
Street in the Parish of St James aforesaid that she left
that Service about 20 years ago and hath never been
Married any person since her intermarriage with the
said Thomas Brown< no role > as a aforesaid and hath not since quitting
her service with the said William Massa< no role > done [..] any Act
Matter or thing whereby to obtain any legal Settlement in
her own right
