(to wit) James Newcome< no role > aged 32 years or
thereabouts Upon Oath saith that he was
Married to Grace Shephard< no role > his late Wife at the Parish
Church of St Anns Westmr . (by Banns) about 11 years ago
that he had one Child by his said Wife who is since
Dead, that he heard she (his secd Wife) went abroad to St Vincents
in the West Indies about 6 years ago & that she
died about two years since that he Rented and
Resided in a House in Knights Court in the Parish of St Clement Danes for about
three years at twelve Guineas a year the that he
quitted the same about eight years ago and he
hath not since done any Act Matter or thing
whatsoever whereby to obtain any subsequent legal
settlement to the best of this Examinant's
knowledge or belief
