(to wit) Alice Cox< no role > Widow aged about thirty
years Upon Oath saith that she was
Married to her late Husband Robert Cox< no role > at
the parish Church of St Clement Danes in or
about the Month of August 1780 that she is informed & believes that previous
thereto her said Husband was bound by Indre an Apprentice
to Mr Sly Shoemaker in Church Street or Church
Lane in the parish of Greenwich in the County of
Kent with whom he servedabt. three yearspart of his time and
wastransferredafterwards turn'd over to another Person of the same
Trade in the said parish of Greenwich with
whom he served the Residue of his said Apprenticeship
(except about two years), that he left hissaidlast
Master without his consent and never after lived
lived as an hired yearly Servant for a year
together or did any other Act Matter or thing
whatsoever whereby to obtain any subsequent
legal settlement to the best of this Examinants knowledge information or belief that he Died about April last
and that She hath not since been Married or
acquired any legal settlement in her own
right
