No. 15 in Wych Street in the parish of
St Clement Danes within the Liberty of Westminster
and County Middlesex and beingaged Sixty
years and upwards the Wife of Frederick Chapman< no role >
a Substitutenownow serving in the West Middlesex
Regiment of Militia Upon Oath saith that on or
about the sixth day of May in the year of our Lord
1762 she this Examinant being then a Widow and
unmarriedshewas Married in the parish Church
of Great Yarmouth in the County of Norfolk (by
Banns) to Frederick Chapman< no role > who as she verily
believes) having no reason to think the contrary) was
at that time a single man and had no Wife living
And this Deponent further saith that her said
Husband Frederick Chapman< no role > hathas she is informed
and believes was duly sworn and enrolled on the 2d. day of March 1792 to serve
as a Substitute in the West Middlesex Regiment of Militia for Christopher Cessie< no role > of Kensingtons in the sd County drawn to serve
as a principal in the said Regiment and is now
serving therein which said Regiment is now
embodied & called out in to actual Service And
this Deponenthath been so ever since the 28th.
day of January last And this Deponent further saith
that ever since the said 28th day of January last
she this Examinant hath resided and now dwells
in the said parish of St Clement Danes and is
much distressed and unable to maintain herself
