Wm. Brown< no role > passed from the Parish of Chelsea in
the County of Middx by Order bearing Date the
17th. Day of September 1741 upon his Oath saith
that abt. 14 Years since he was bound an
Apprentice to one Mr. Jno. Vernon< no role > at the Swan
& Rummer in Finch Lane London Vintner & served him as
an Apprentice for the Space of 3 Years & a half
or thereabts. & then was assigned over to one Mr.
Crawford at the Bear & Harrow Tavern in the
Parish of St. Clemt- Danes in the County of Middx
& lived with him for the Space of 2 Yrs- or thereabts-
& then left the sd. Mr. Crawford & lived with one Mr.
Goostreeat the Devil Tavern witht. Temple
Barr in the Parish of St. Dunstan in the West [..]
London for the Space of Five Months or thereabts.
& that after he left the sd. Mr. Goostrees Service he
lived with one Mr. Jepsonat the
Bedford Head in Southampton Street in the Parish
of St. Paul Covent Garden in the County of Middx
for the Space of Three Months he [..] at such
Time not being out of his sd. Apprentisp that he hath
not since he left his sd. Master rented Ten Pounds
a Year pd. Parish Taxes lived with any Person
as a Yearly hired Servant for the Space of one
Year or otherwise gained a Settlemt. in any
other Place to his Knowledge or beleife that
