The Exaicon of Mary Bagnald< no role > taken the 23d. day of Augt. 1740
who upon her Oath Saith that she is a Singlewoman & was never
Marryed and that on the 20th. day of July in the Year 1735
she this Exaiant was Delivered of a Female Bastard Child at ye
House of one Mr. Cantrell in Change Court in the parish of St. Clemt.
Danes in the County of Middx wch hath since been Baptized Mary< no role >
is now liveing & likely to become Chargeable to the sd. parish this
Exaiant being poor & not able to maintaine the same And further
upon her Oath Saith that one Wm. Hugo< no role > did begett the sd. Child on
her body she this Exaiant at such time liveing as a yearly hired
Servt . with Mr. Justice Denton in Howard Street in the sd. Parish
of St. Clemt. Danes and the sd. Wm. Hugo at the same time liveing
as a Yearly hired Servt . in the same House with this Exaiant
became acquainted with her and had Carnall knowledge of her
Body Sevll. times in the sd. Mr. Justice Dentons House at one of
wch times he got her with the Female Bastard Child she was
Delivered of as aforesd. and that he the sd. Wm. Hugo & no other
person is the true and reall father thereof
