The Examination of Mary Grabey< no role > the Wife Thos. Graby< no role >
Lodging in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in ye. County
of Middx taken the 12th. Day of July 1740 Who upon
her Oath saith that her Husband Thos. Grabey< no role > Served
4 years & upwds. the latter part of his Apprenticeship
with one Mr. Jno. Feilder< no role > Junr . in the Parish of Christ
Church in the County of Surry Waterman , And this
Examint. further saith yt. her sd. Husband hath not
since he left his sd. Master Rented £10 a year paid
Parishes Taxes lived with any Person as a yearly hired
Servt. for the space of one Year or otherwise gained
a Settlemt. in any other Place as this Examint. hath
been informed & verily beleives. that he is now on Board
his Majesty's Ship the New York & haveing left her with
two small Childn. (to wit) Jno< no role > . Aged two Years & George< no role >
aged 5 Months & she being Poor is not able to
maintaine herselfe & Childn.
