Lucy Gurney< no role > Aged about Twenty Three Years on her
Oath Says she never was married Rented House or paid
Taxes Says she lived a hired Yearly Servant with Mr. B [..]
in Caven Buildings Drury Lane for One Year at the Yearly
Wages of five Pounds hath quitted her said Service about
Twelve Months ago since which time she hath gained no
other Subsequent Settlement and further upon her Voluntary
Oath says she is pregnant with Child or Children which is o [..]
are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become
Chargable to the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes and
further says that one Philip Tillier< no role > a Farmer who lately
lived with one Mr. Ellwood at Sydenham Court near Windsor
who run away from thence on Account of a Bastard Child
& who she believes is now in or near Cookam near Maidenhead
in the County of Berks is the Father thereof he having had
Carnal Knowledge of her Body some time in the Month of
Oct [..] at her Mothers House in Sydenham aforesaid at
and at divers other times and places at one of which times
he got her with Child of the Child or Children of which she
is now Pregnant as aforesaid and that the said Philip
Tillier
< no role > & no other person did beget the same & that he is the
real & true Father thereof
