Mary Sedgwick< no role > Aged about Twenty four Years
on her Oath Says she never was married Rented
House or paid Taxes Says she lived a hired Yearly
Servant with Mr. Dixon an Attorney in Norfolk Street
in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County of
Middlesex upwards of Two Years and an half at the
Yearly Wages of Six Guineas hath quitted her said
Service upwards of Two Years ago and hath not since
she quitted the same lived as a hired Yearly Servant
for one Year or otherwise gained any other Settlement
And further on her Oath says she was delivered of
a Female Bastard Child in the House of Mr. Anthony
in Star Court Butcher Row in the said Parish of
St. Clement Danes on the 10th. day of Octr. last which
hath since been Baptized by the name of Ann< no role > and
is now become Chargable to the sd Parish And further
that one George Fidler< no role > a Cabinet Maker who now
ledges at a Bakers Shop in Thames Street Opposite
St. Martins Lane is the Father thereof he having
had Carnal Knowledge of her Body for several Years
last past and in her said Masters House about Two
Years ago and at sevl. Different times afterwards at one of
which times he got her with Child of the Female Bastard
Child of which she was so deliverd as assd. and that the
said George Fidler< no role > & no other person did beget the
same and that he is the real & true Father thereof.
