Frances Gunn< no role > aged about 30 Years on her Oath
says she never was married Rented House or paid
Taxes says she lived a hired Yearly Servant With
Mr. Drakeford in the strand in the Parish of St.
Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex for
Upwards of Three Years at the Yearly Wages of
five pounds hath quitted her said service upwards
of Eight Yrs. Ago since which time she hath gained
no other Settlement by living a hired Yearly Servant
for One Year or Otherwise howsoever And further on
her Voluntary Oath says she is pregnant with Child
or Children which is or are likely to be born a
Bastard or Bastards (And to become Chargeable to the
Parish of St. Clement Danes she being poor & unable
to Maintain the same when Born) And further says
that One Wm. Walford< no role > a private Soldier in the first
Regiment of Guards in Colonel Conways Compny.
now Quartered in the Tower is the Father thereof
he having had Carnal knowledge other Body at
his the sd. Wm. Walfords< no role > Lodgings in old Pye
Street St. Margts. Westmr . some time in June last
but the particular Day she does not now remember
and at sevl. Difft. times 9 tone of Which times he get
her with Child of the Child or Children of Which she is now
pregnant And that the said Wm. Walsford< no role > and no other
person did beget the same and that he is the real & true father
thereof
