to wit Jane Redman< no role > Aged about Forty years on her Oath says she is the
Widow of Samuel Redman< no role > who died about Nine years ago and with
whom she Intermarried at the Parish Church of Saint Andrew Holbourn
about Seventeen years ago and by whom she hath One Child living
Namely Ann Elizabeth< no role > Aged about Twelve years (now provided for) says
her said Husband was an Irishman and never gained a settlement in
England to her knowledge or belief neither hath this Examinant since
her said Husbands Death And further upon her Voluntary Oath [..]
says that on the Twenty Seventh day of April last she was delivered
of Two Female Bastard Children in the House of Mr. Stables a Taylor
in Devereux Court near Temple Barr in the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes in the County of Middlesex which have since been Baptized
by the Names of Rachel Mary< no role > and Susannah Catherine< no role > and are now
become Chargeable to the said Parish she being poor and unable to
maintain the same And further says that One John Foster< no role > late an
Ironmonger and who now Lodges at One Mr. Smarts in Scotland yard
is the Father thereof he having had Carnal knowledge of Her Body
at Different times for near four years past at One of which times
He got her with Child of the Two Bastard Children of which she was
delivered as aforesaid And that the said John Foster< no role > and no other
person did beget the same and that he is the real and true Father
thereof
