Amelia Dean< no role > otherwise Caffaty< no role > Aged about Twenty Eight years an her Oath says
she Intermarried to One Phillip Caffaty< no role > an Fishman (who was by trade a shoemaker
and who never gained a settlement in England either by Renting House or
otherwise) at the House of Mrs. Butcher in Rope Makers Alley Moor Fields by a
Romish Priest which Marriage is of no Effect by the Laws of this Country as
this Examinant has been Informed and believes and further says that she has
Two Children by the aforesaid Phillip Caffaty< no role > Namely Mary< no role > aged about four years
born in Petty Coat Lane in the Parish of Aldgate London and Phillip< no role > Aged
about Eight Months born in Rope makers alley aforesaid in the Parish of
Saint Luke in the County of Middlesex And further says that Her said two
Children have gained no other settlement then by Births as this Examinant has
been Informed and verily believes And this Examinant further says that before
such her Intermarriage with the sd Philip Caffaty< no role > and whilst she was a Singlewoman she lived a
Hired yearly servant with her Uncle Cornelius Dean< no role > a Draft Board
maker in Little Distaff Lane in the Parish of Saint Augustin Alias
Saint Austin in the City of London upwards of Two years at the yearly
Wages of Four Pounds Ten Shillings hath quitted her said Service upwards
of Fifteen years ago since which time she hath gained no other settlement
either by Renting House paying Taxes or living a Hired yearly Servant
for One year
