to wit Mary Croysdill< no role > aged about Thirty six years on her Oath says she never
was Married Rented House or was an Apprentice to any Person says she
Lived a hired yearly servant with one Mr. John Scott< no role > a Land Waiter in
Prescott Street Goodmans Fields in the Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel
in the County of Middlesex for One year at the yearly Wages of six Pounds
hath quitted her said service upwards of Eight years ago and hath not
since she quitted the same ever Rented House paid Taxes or lived a
hired yearly Servant for one year And further says that on the 3rd.
day of December 1774 she was Delivered of a Male Bastard Child
in the Workhouse belonging to the Parish of Saint Clement Danes
which has since been baptized by the name of Timothy< no role > And further
says that One Lawrence Vaux< no role > servant to major Crawford in
Portman Square In the Parish of Saint Mary Le Bone in the Liberty
of Westminster is the Father thereof he having had Carnal knowledge
of her Body some time in the Month of March 1773 but
the particular Day she does not now remember and at several
Different times afterwards at one of which times he got her with Child of the
Male Bastard Child of which she was so delivered as aforesaid and
that the said Lawrence Vaux< no role > and no other Person did beget the same
and that he is the real and true father thereof
