Mary Jones< no role > Aged about Twenty Three Years on her
Oath Says she never was married Rented House or
paid Taxes or ever lived a hired Yearly Servant for one
Year says her Father Richard Jones< no role > Rents and lives in
a House in the Hay in the County of Brecknock in South
Wales where this Examinant was born as she believes
And further Says that on the Tenth day of May last she
was delivered of a Female Bastard Child in the House
of Mr. Cook a Tobacconist in Houghton Street Clare Market
in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes which hath since
been Baptized by the Name of Jane< no role > and is become Chargable
to the said Parish she being Poor and unable to maintain
the same And that one Mathew Collins< no role > or Collie< no role > a servant to one Mr. Turner at No 2 Field Court [..] did
beget such Bastard Child on her Body he having had
Carnal knowledge of her Body in her Masters House at
Knightsbridge in the Month of June 1778 and at several
different times afterwards at one of which times he get
her with Child of the Female Bastard Child of which she
was so delivered as aforesaid And that the said Mathew
Collins
< no role > or Collie< no role > did beget the same and that he is the
real and true Father thereof
