to wit Ann Brinner< no role > aged about Fifty Eight years on her Oath
says she never was married Rented House or paid Taxes says
she lived a hired yearly servant with Mr. Pollard a
Taylor in Devereux Court in the Strand in the Parish of
Saint Clement Danes in the County of Middlesex for Sixteen
Months at the yearly Wages of five Pounds hath quitted her
said service Upwards of Twenty years ago since which
time she hath never gained any other settlement And further
says that in the year 1765 she became Acquainted with
One Hugh Davis< no role > a Plane maker on Newington Causeway
in the Parish of Saint mary Newington in the County of Surry
but knew nothing of the settlement of the said Hugh Davis< no role >
and further says that in the year 1768 she was bros. to bed of a
Female Bastard Child in the House of Mr. Bates on Newington
Causeway aforesaid which was soon afterwards baptized
by the name of Elizabeth< no role > & is now Chargeable to the Parish of
Saint Clement Danes this Examinant being passed with
said Child for Nurture in the year 1769 And further that her
said Child never gained any other settlement then by Birth
