to wit Mary Bird< no role > Aged about Thirty four Years on
her Oath Says she never was married Rented House
or paid Taxes Says she served Six Years and an
half the first part of her Apprenticeship with one
James Lee< no role > of Hair Curler in Old Boswell Court in
the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the Liberty of
Westmr . when her said Master died and after her said
Masters Death she never gained any or. Subsequent
Settlement by living a hired Yearly Servant for one
Year. And further upon her Voluntary Oath Says she
is pregnant with Child or Children which is or are
likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become
Chargable to the said Parish she being Poor & unable
to Maintain the same when born And that one John
Collins
< no role > a Day Labourer who works for one John
Blackman
< no role > a Farmer at Clapham in Surry is the Father
thereof he having had Carnal Knowledge of her Body sometime
in the Month of June last but the particular Day she does
not now remember and at sevl. times afterwards and before
for that the said John Collins< no role > is the Father of anr. Bastard
Child of which she was delivered at Camberwell in the Parish
of Peckham in the County of Surry & which Child is named
Sarah< no role > This name instance is in set 4227. and is now of the Age of Eight Years And further says
that the said John Collins< no role > & no other person did beget the
same and that he is the real & true Father of both the
said Bastard Children.
