Sarah Beckley< no role > aged about 28 years on her Oath Says she never
was Married Rented House or paid Taxes Says she lived a
hired yearly Servant with one Mr. Roden at the Sign of the
Northumberlands head in Stanhope Street Clare Markett in the
Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the Liberty of Westmr .
upwards of one year at the yearly Wages of five Pounds hath quitted
her said Service about One Months ago since which she hath
gained no other subsequent Settlement and further upon her
Voluntary Oath says she is Pregnant with Child or
Children which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards
and to become Chargeable to the said Parish she being
Poor and unable to Maintain the same when born says
Heatone Timothy Roberts< no role > a Journeyman Taylor who
lately Lodged at the Northumberland Head in Stanhope
Street Clare Markett is the Father thereof he having had
Carnal Knowledge of her Body in February last but the
Particular day she does not now remember and at several
Different times after at one of which times he got her with
Child of the Child or Children of which she is now Pregnant
and that the said Timothy Roberts< no role > and no other person did beget
the same and that he is the real & true Father thereof.
