Catherine Bonny< no role > aged about Seventy three years on her Oath
says she never was Married Rented House or paid Taxes
says she was Covenanted to serve & learn the Trade of a
Mantua Maker with one Mrs. Egan a Mantua Maker in
Holles Street Clare Market for four years & after serving
her said Mrs. Egan for that time she hath gained no other Subsequent
Settlement and further upon her Voluntary Oath says she
is Pregnant with Child or Children which is or are likely
to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become Chargeable
to the Parish of Saint Clement Danes she being Poor
and unable to Maintain he same says that one Saml. Eaton< no role >
a Buckle Chafe Maker who uses the Sign of the Bull & Monk
Publick House adjoining to the Burial Ground in Drury Lane
is the Father thereof he having had Carnal Knowledge of her
Body at her Lodgings at one Mr. Smarts in Saffron Hill
the later end of January last and Several Different times
afterwards at one of which times he got her with Child of
the Child or Children of which she is now Pregnant and
that the said Saml. Eaton< no role > and no other Person did beget
the same and that he is the real and true Father thereof
