Eliza. Tomlinson< no role > aged about 19 Years upon
her Voluntary Oath saith she was never marryed
Says she was Delivered of a Male Bastard Child on
the 3d. Day of Novr. last in the house of Mrs. Richard
in Witch Street in the Parish of St. Clement Danes
in the Liberty of Wetstmr. which is as yet unbaptized
Says one Edward Collins< no role > an Apprentice to Mr. Nelson
an Apothecary in Drake Street by Red Lyon Square
did beget the sd. Male Bastard Child on her Body
this Examinant being a Servant to the said Mr.
Nelson the said Edward Collins< no role > by that means
became Acquainted with her & had Carnal
knowledge of her Body the latter End of the
Month of February last or the beginning of
March last and at sevll. other times since
at one of which times he got her with Child of
the sd. Male Bastard Child which she was
Delivered of as aforesaid and that he the said
Edward Collins< no role > & no other Person is the true &
real father thereof Saysbefore she lived with
the sd. Mr. Nelson she lived a Yearly Servt. with
Mr.
she was born in the Parish of Newark upon Treat
in the County of Nottingham where her father now
lives in & rents a house & pays his Share of all
Parochial Taxes Says she never rented ten pounds
a Yr. pd. Parish Taxes lived a Yearly Servt. for one Yr.
or otherwise gained a Settlement in any other Place
to her knowledge or beleif
