Catharine Smith< no role > Widow of Richard Smith< no role > Locksmith
deceased maketh oath and saith that her said late Husband
about twenty six or seven Years ago took an House in Water
Street in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the County
of Middlesex and lived in and Rented the said House many
Years together at Twelve Pounds a Year Rent and Saith
that her said Husband about a Year and an half before his
Decease he quitted the said House and went to Lambeth and
in Britania Street in the Parish of Saint Mary Lambeth
in the County of Surrey he rented and lived in an House and
Paid Twenty six pounds a Year Rent for the same And saith
that since the Decease of her said Husband she this
Examinant took the same House in Water Street in the
parish of Saint Clement Danes in the said County of Middlesex
and lived in and Rented the same for several Years together
and paid Twelve Guineas a Year Rent and all Parish
Taxes for the same having then quitted the said House
at Lambeth aforesaid And saith that she paid Rent and
Taxes as the Occupier of the said House in Water Street
aforesaid up to Lady Day 1789 as appears by a Receipt for
poors Rate now in this Examinants Custody And saith that
since the Decease of her said late Husband she hath not
contracted Matrimony or done any other Act to her Knowledge
or belief which could acquire her a Legal Settlement subsequent
to her quitting the said House in Water Street aforesaid
