Saint Clement Danes

Middlesex (ss)

Ann Toms< no role > Widow of James Toms< no role >
deceased upon her Oath saith that She was
married to her said late Husband at the Parish
Church of Saint Peter in Norwich about
twenty eight Years ago that she does not
knows that her said Husband ever acquired a
Parochial Settlement in his own Right
And this examinant further saith that
her said Husband hath informed her that
he was born at the Sign of the Blue Posts in
the Parish of Saint Clement Danes in the
County of Middlesex and that his father
then kept the said House as a Public House
And that his said Father was duly setled in
and a Parishoner of the said Parish of Saint
Clement Danes and that he had never gained
any other Settlement And this Examinant
further saith that she this Examinant and
her said Husband wereaboutSome Years ago
papd from the City of Norwich to the said
Parish of Saint Clement Danes and that
her said Husband is now dead and she
this Examinant is upwards of Sixty eight
Years and incapable of getting her bread.
