to wit Elizth: Holland< no role > aged 18 years or thereabouts upon
her Oath saith That about 4 years ago she went to live
with Mr. Rider the Broker at Woolwich in Kent as a
hired yearly Servant she Stay'd with him 2 years at the yearly
Wages of £3..10..0 that since that Time she has not done
any Act matter or thing whereby to the best of her Knowledge
Information or belief she may have gained a Settlement
elsewhere that she never was married That on the 16th. day
of March last she was delivered of a male Bastard Child
at the House of a Mr. Bocock in Angel Court in the Strand
in the Parish of Saint Clement Danes which was
baptized by the name of John Robert< no role > Leggett That
Robert Leggett< no role > late a Lichtenant in Militia now living
at the White Hart in Church Lane London [..] Street in the Father of the said Child he
having had Carnal Knowledge of this Depts Body sometime
in the Month of May 1784 and at several times since
at one of which times he did beget the said Child and
that he and no one else is the father of the said Child
and that she is Poor and unable to maintain the
same
