Fields being sworn saith that he has known the deced
abt. 7 yrs. her father was a Captn. [..] hts in his
Majesty's or the East India Service. he certainly
died before this Dept. knew the Deced. she had an
Annty from Government wch. was 5 but lately raised
to £7- the deced lived in Plough Court Carey St
& did work for this Dept Caster maker/ to late
in the beginning at last week since which
he has not seen her. he this Day enquired at
her Lodgings where he found she had been absent
for a week. the Daur of her Landlady used to
sleep with her but refused it lately on accot
of the restlessless & besides from her Deportment
she was out of her Mind - In the last
Interview this Dept had with her he thought
her much altered owing but he believes through
distress - she might be abot. 20 yrs. of age & he has
heard that her Mother has an annty of 70 per
Ann. The Family did not altogether receive
which he is sure preyed upon her Mind this
Dept is of opinion that she was insane & drowned
herself
