this 22 August 1797
at the Dwelling
House of Transfield the Sign of the
Triumphant Chariot piccadilly in the
Parish of St. Geo. Hanover Square on view of
of the body of Paul Carlswick< no role > then & there
lying dead
Andrew Matthias< no role > House Surgeon at St Georges Hospital
being sworn saith that the Deced was
brot to the Hospital upon a Horse at
4 o'Clock on 18 Inst. & Friday it was
reported that he had fallen from a
Scaffold. he was not at all sensible
everything that could he done
for him, was done, but without
Effect and he died that Night about
1/2 past 12. this Dept. Supposes he
died of a Concussion of the Brain as
there were no external marks of
Violence
