Bryanstone Street , on his Oath saith that Yesterday Morning
the Deceased and Connell and another Person come to him
at his Masters shop, they drank the together and afterwds.

A Proposition being made about jumping, it was agreed
to go into Hyde Park to determine it, the Deponent
and Lewis were the Persons to jump the Bet was for
a Shilling or a Shilling work - a dispute made between
Lewis and the Deceased about the jumping - Deponent
saw them both Strip, they appeared both to be warm
with Passion, and seemed heated with Liquor, they went
to highting, but shook hands first Deponent beleives
they were strongers to each other, and therefore supposes
there could have been no [..] between them before
the Deceased and Lewis had four or five Rounds, and
some falls or both sides, Deponent saw Lewis maker
Blow with the right hand at the Deceased and issued
and Lewis in turning round hit the Deceased with this
left
left hand under the right Ear, and the Deceased dropt
immediately - the Deceased was carried out of the Park
to a near public Houses he was Bled and other Assistance
given, he Bled petty freely, but did not recover

with the Deceased and Scott and another Person Yesterday
to the General Wolfe Public House , and Dined together
and Drank, they all went together with Lewis and
another Person who had come into the Public House, to
Hyde Park about Jumping for a Bet of a Shilling worth
of Liquor between Lewis and Scott a dispute onele
about the fairness of the Jumping as he understood
he saw the Deceased and Lewis Stripped, Lewis and
to Deponent he was going to Right the Deceased, and
asked him if he would pick him up, Deponent said
he would if there was occasion for it, and he picked
him up twiceDeponent can't say he saw the last
Blow, the Deceased was on the Ground, Deponent lay
down by him and beleives he was Dead before he was
taken
