Informations taken this Second day
of November 1789 at the Parish of St. John
the Evangelist within the Liberty of Westmr .
in the County of Middlesex upon an
Inquisition touching the death of
Christopher Sherlock lying dead in
the said Parish Liberty and County.

Catherine Beach< no role > wife of William Beach< no role > at the
Chequer in Abingdon Street in the Parish of
St. John the Evangelist Westmr. Victualer on her
Oath saith That on Saturday last the 31st. day of
October about three or Four o'Clock in the
afternoon Christopher Sherlock< no role > the Deced
same to Dept House and asked for a Glass
of Gin which she served him with and Deced
drank it and went out of the House
appearing to be in perfect Health, says that
in a few Minutes Dept was informed that
the Deced was dead, upon which Dept. went
out and saw the Deced lying dead under
a Gateway leading into Mr. Gaunty yard in
the Parish of St. John the Evangelist says that
the Deced was carried to this Dept Hose
where Surgeon attempted to bleed the Deced
but his bled [..] says that she saw the
Marks of violence upon the Deced, and
believes that the Deced died in a
natural Way.
