Informations taken this Thirtieth day of
October 1789 at Knightbridge in the Parish
of St. Margaret within the Liberty of Westmr
in the County of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of a Man unknown havg
dead in the said Parish Liberty & County

George Johnson< no role > of Bayswater Gardener
on his Oath saith That Yesterday Morning
about Ten O'Clock this Dept. was Morning
the Weeds on the Serpentine River in Hyde
Park, andshikingin pulling up his
Hook with he cut the weeds, it had
hold of the Deced's Cloaths who lay on the
River entangled in the Weeds, about
Fourteen Yards from the Shore, says that
the Deced was got into a Boat and lowed
to the Shore in the Parish of St. Margaret
Westmr . being assisted by Mr. Jones Constable
of the Park says that the Deced appeared
to have been Drowned two or three days
and says that no marks of violence
appeared on the Deced, and says that
there was no Money in the Pocket of
the Deceaced
