the Waiter some time after came to Deponent and said he
thought the Gentleman was very IllDeponent went and
Saw the Deced was very Ill and that he groaned and appeared
to be much disturbedMr. Bailey of No. 12 Spring Gardens
being sent for at the desire of the Deced, he came and they
were sometime together, [..] Mr. Foster a Gentleman went into the
Deceds Room with Mr. Bailey and Mr. Baily took some Money
[..] and Bills out of the Deceds PocketDeponent sent for
Mr Wood an Apothecary & Surgeonsoon after Deponent went
in again & a Person like one belonging to a Man of War came
& enquiredfor theDeced & said he had a Letterfromfor Major
Scott from on Board a Ship, he come into the Room and looked
at the Deced, and said he had a writ against the Dead for
Two Thousand Pounds and soon after there other [..] came
up and Joined the first Personthe Deceased was at this
time [..] and in Bedwhen the Deced heard of the
went he lay quiet for some time the Surgeon told the men
that the Deced was very Ill and that he thought they should
not take him for that his life would he in dangerThe
Men said they would provide a good Bed for him and that
he must go with them, that he had come from Clapham

that Morning and therefore he way able to go with them
Deponent told them he would have them take care what
they did, they know best what they had to do, but he
thought the Deced to he dangerously Ill

Surgeon & Apothecory on his Oath saith that yesterday in the
Afternoon he was sent for by Mr. Brewer, to see a Gentleman
who was Ill in his House, Deponent came about 5 o'Clock
and found the Deced exceeding Ill & by his Account had been
Ill a long time, the yellow Jaimdin appeared to have been
on him some time, he had also a violent P [..] ing which came
from him invol [..] taryhe seemed very [..] and his Pulse
tremulous and had a Cough & very great difficulty in Breathing, and
Deponent thought he appeared almost as a Dying Man
he was in the Room when some Persons came up to the D [..] d
& said [..] had a writ against him for a large Sumwhen the
Deced understood it he said he feared he was not able to go
and he movedthe Men replied that as he had comethat
Morning from Clapham, and had afterwards gone to the Hot
Bath they supposed he could with propriety he named to
Cla [..] y Lane where they intended to take himDeponent
told
