this Dept. knocked at the Street Door, and
Dept. opened the Door, and the Young
Woman came in but Dept. did not see
the Deced afterwards alive, Says that
She enquired after the Deced for some
hours but Dept. did not see him, That
she was informed the Deced had been
found Drowned this Morning in the
Bason in Hyde Park , and Dept. believes
that the Deced Drowned himself, Says
that the Deced has been Melancholy and
low Spirited, for some time and complained
of his Head and Stomach, and from the
Deced's Manner of expressing himself
Dept. thinks that has [..] was at times
Disordered.

Mercy Chambers< no role > Servant to Mrs. Elliot
a Lodger in [..] Deced's House on her Oath saith
That last Night about Ten o'Clock Dept
went to fetch a Penny worth of [..] Beer for
her Mistress, leaving he Candle Burning on the Stairs
when she returned she found the Deced had
taken her Candle into the Parlour, and the
other Rooms there and afterwards into the
Kitchin, saying that he thought he smelt
some Woollen Burning, but found nothing
The Deced then went out saying that he
would go to the Alehouse for a Pennyworth
of Beer, over the Way, and Dept. saw the
Deced go up Mount Street towards Hyde
Park. And Dept. believes that the Deced
has [..] been at times Disordered
in his Mind for about half a Year
but that he appeared to be better yesterday
Morning.
