Informations taken this Twenty first
day of May 1784 at the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square within the Liberty of
Westminster in the County of Midsex
upon an Inquisition touching the Death
of Edmund [..] Padbury< no role > lying dead in the said
Parish Liberty and County.

John Martin< no role > Servant to Bonyfint at the
Engine House in Hyde Park in the Parish of St.
George Hanover Square on his Oath saith That
this Morning about five o'Clock he went to turn the
water out of the Bason in Hyde Park , and
in the Water in the Bason saw some part of
the Deced's Coat, Says that the Deced floated
and that with a Drag this Dept. pulled the
Deced, towards the Shore, and fastened him
Says that he went to acquaint Mr. Storar
the Undertaken and returned to the Deced
and with the Assistance of another Man
pulled him out of the Water, the Deced
being dead, but did not appear to have
been long Drowned, Says that the Deced
had a small Scratch by the side of his
Nose, but observed no Marks of violence
upon the Deced, Says that he heard no
Noise or crying out in the Park either
last Night or this Morning.

Ann Preston< no role > an her Oath saith. That about
the Tenth of this Instant she took a Room in the
Deced's House in Mount Street and that she
did in order to take care of the Deced, Says
that the Deced was in Depts Room all day,
Yesterday, Thatthatabout Ten o'Clock
last Night a Young Woman who slept with
this
