Informations taken this Twenty second
day of May 1784 at Knightsbridge
in the Parish of St. Margaret within
the Liberty of Westmr. in the County of
Middlesex upon an Inquisition touching
the death of James Walker< no role > lying dead
in the said Parish Liberty and County

John Day< no role > of Knightsbridge Labour on his
Oath saith, That Yesterday about Seven o'Clock
in the Afternoon Dept. was standing upon Queen
Ann's Bridge in Hyde Park when he saw
the Deced in the Serpentine River in Hyde
Park, coming up with his Head above water near the Sh [..]
and Sunk again immediately, and did
not rise afterwards, Says that Mr. Dun
and a Black Man Dived [..] could not
bring up the Deced, That Mr. Bever than
Dived and brought up the Deced, and
Got him to the in the Parish of
St. Margaret Westmr ., That he appeared
to be Dead, having been in the Water
near an hour. Says that he did not
see the Deced go into the Water, That he
was naked and had left this Cloaths on the Shore
