Informations taken this third day of
March 1783 at the Parish of St. Martin in
the Fields within the Liberty of Westmr . in
the County of Midsex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of John Robinson< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County.

David Crollan< no role > Servant to John Browne< no role > of
St. Anne's Lane in the Parish of St. Margaret
Westmr . Baker on his Oath saith That he spent
the Evening last Saturday the first Instant
at Mr. Michells the Sign of the Rising Sun in
Vine Street in the Parish of St. Martin in the
Fields , together with John Bollard< no role > and
John Robinson< no role > the Deced, Says that they staid
there until past Twelve o'Clock, when they
all three agreed to go to see for a Lodging
(being too late to get to their own Lodgings)
Says that they went to a Night house in
the Strand and had a Pot of Beer, That they
came back along the Strand and were
running at the End of Southampton Street
this Dept being foremost and the Deced
next to him, about three or four Yards
behind him, Says that he heard the Deced
fall down, upon which Dept. turned back
found the Deced lying on his face upon
the Ground, unable to Speak, Says that
John Pollard< no role > then come up and assisted Dept.
to lift the Deced up, Says that in about
two Minutes the Deced came to himself
and told Dept. that he ran against a Post
and fell down, and complained that he had
hurt the side of his Head, which was as sure
as if a Knife was run through it, Says that
