An Inquisition Intended, taken for our Sovereign Lord the
King at the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields
within the Liberty of the Dean and Chapter of the Collegiate Church of St. Peter, Westminster ,
in the County of Middlesex , the third day of March in the twenty third
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Third, by the Grace of God, of
Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and so forth, before Thomas

chosen, who being then and there duly sworn and charged to enquire for our said Lord the
King, when, how, and by what Means the said John Robinson< no role > came to
h is Death, do upon their Oath say, That the said John Robinson< no role > on the Second day
of March in the Year aforesaid, between the hours of One and two in the
Morning, being running with two other Men in the Strand , in the Parish
aforesaid within the Liberty and County aforesaid, and being very Dark
It so happened that the said John Robinson< no role > ran against a Post and with great
force fell down upon the Stone Pavement in the said Street, by Means
whereof he the said John Robinson< no role > then and there Accidentally Casually
and by Misfortune received a violent Concussion in and upon the
Brain of him the said John Robinson< no role > , of which said violent and mortal
Concussion he the said John Robinson< no role > on the said Second day of March in the
Year aforesaid at the Parish and in the Liberty and County aforesaid
did languish and live, and on the same day he the said John
Robinson
< no role > then and there of the mortal Concussion aforesaid
did die. And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath aforesaid do say
that the said John Robinson< no role > in Manner and by the Means aforesaid
Accidentally Casually by Misfortune came to his death and
not otherwise. In Witness whereof as well the said Coroner
as the said Charles Smith< no role > Foreman of the said Jurors on the
behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence
have to this Inquisition set their Hands and Seals the Day Year
and Place abovewritten
