appeared to be frightened and very uneasy
and creyd very much Says that they sent
to same of the Gentleman of the Parish and that Mr
Bainbridge one of the Beadles and others
come there and saw he Deced lying on the
Floor, and ordered her to be laid out and
lain upon the Bed, which was done, Says
that the Husband desired Dept to Search
the Deceds Pokets which she did and in
one of them Dept found a white Stone cup
broken in prices, and on the inside of it
saw some White Gritty Stuff, and one of the
Women, then laying out the Deced, Said that
the Deced that day between Eleven and twelve
o'Clock had a White Cup in her Hand with
something White in it, and that she desired
the Woman (whose name is Mary) to go with
her to the sign of the Bird in hand in Long
Aere to see her Drink it That she had seen
the Deced there put the White Stuff out of
the Cup into some Beer, that she shook it
with the Beer and drank it down
Says that the Deced was very much addiated
to Drinking and has been in Liguor for
several days together, That the Deced last
Sunday when she was sober appeared to
be Frightened in her Room alone and forgied
that some body opened her Door and would not
stay there, and Dept believes that the Deced
was disturbed in her Mind

Mr. Griffith Apothecary Bedford Street Covent
Garden on his Oath saith That yesterday Mr
Cook gave Dept several Pieces of White Cift
(which Mrs. Cook said she had taken out of
Deced's Pocket) says that on the inside of
the Pieces of Cup he saw a White Sanday
Substance which he tasted and believes
it to be White Arsenick, which is a
deadly Poison and that a small Quantity
of it would kill any Person when taken

Mary Thompson< no role > a Lodger at Mr Franklin in
Bow Street Widow on her Oath saith That she has
Known Margaret Darrell< no role > the Deced about
two Years Says that on Wednesday last above
Eleven o'Clock the Deced tapped Dept. upon
the S [..] fter and Dept followed her into
a Publick House the Sign of the Bird in Hand
in Long Rere That the Deced had a Pink
of Bear [..] had a White Stone Falup out
of her pocket,and a Paper in her hand
That she poured some Beer into the Cup
and out of the Paper put some White
Powder into the Cup and drank the Beer
That the filled the cup with Beer a Second
time and afterwards a third time and
drank it both times, Says that the Deced
said that she took it to cure the Cramp in
her stomach Says that she this Dept went
away Exeing the Deced there Says
that the next day she assisted to lay the
Deced out, when she told Mr Cook that she
had seen the Deced take the Powder
