Informations of Witnesses taken upon Oath
this 8th. day of August 1777 , at the House of Mr.
Gafor the Sign of the Swan with two
Necks in Old Tothil Street in the Parish of Saint
Margaret in the City of Westminster , Before
Thomas Prickard< no role > Gentleman . His Majesty's
Coroner for the City and Liberty of Westminster
upon View of the Body of William Smith< no role > , in
the said Parish then and there lying Dead.

Mary Hill< no role > of old Tothil Street St. Margaret Westminster Singlewoman on her
Oath saith That on Thursday the 7th. day of August 1777, she
saw the Deceased about Eight o' Clock in the Morning in the
Yard in the House of Mr. John Hill< no role > his Masterin the same
House, about nine o' Clok in the Morning Mr. Hill her
Brother desired her to go call the Child, Deponent went into
the Yard to call the Deceased, but he not answering, [..] the
Deponent went up into the Store Room, and then saw the
Deced lying on the Sacks of Flour with his Head downwards
