Informations of Witnesses taken this 7th. day of
August 1777 , at the Dwelling House of Mr.
the Sign of the Marquis of Granby at Chelsea water works
Bridge in the Parish of St. George Hanover Square in the
Liberty of Westminster , Before Thomas Prickard< no role >
Gentleman His Majesty's Coroner for the City and Liberty
of Westminster , on View of the Body of John Kingston< no role >
then and there lying Dead as follow, to wit

Matthew Gibbons< no role > Son of Matthew Gibbons< no role > of the Hop Garden
St. Martins lane says that on Tuesday last about four o' Clock
in the Afternoon, the Deced met Deponent in Great St. Martins
Lane and desired him to go and walk with him, they went
to Chelsea Water Works Bridge , and the Deced stript and went
in, the Deponent desired he would not go in without he
Could Swim, he said he could, and as soon as he was got in
the Water he sunk down, and come up and down three times
Deponent called for assistance, and some Persons tired to find
the Deced, and Deponent went with the Deced's Asthes to his Father
