Verdict of the Jury touching the Death of William
Quinton

That the said William Quinton< no role > on the 11th. day of August
1777 , at the Parish of St. George Hanover Square , to wit
at a New House in Hereford Street these Building, Handing
on the Area Wall of the said House, and some Workman
being hoisting up of a certain piece of Timber called a
Girder of about the length of Twenty foot and width of
One Foot it so happened that the Rope in the Jackle
that was using in hoisting the said Girder broke, and
one end of the said Girder fell to and against the Said
William Quinton< no role > by means whereof he the said William
Quinton accidentally casually and by Misfortune received
Several Violent and Mortal Bruises and Fractures on
the Bones of his Thighs and Knees of which said violent
and Mortal Bruises and Fractures he the said William
William Quinton in the Hospital near Hyde Park
Corner then andDied the same Day, And so the Jurors
On then Oath Say that the Said William Quinton< no role >
in manner and by the means aforesaid accidentally
casually
